Research & Statistics �Developing the tourism industry requires knowledge about structures, conditions, and other influencing factors. The analysis department at SIS continuously monitors studies, statistics and research and takes steps to build up and disseminate knowledge about what is required in order for tourism to grow. It is important to analyse external factors and establish the likely effects of an expansion within the tourism industry. These studies also need to be coordinated between social institutions and companies/organisations active in the travel and tourism industries.�
