Transportation Stockholm's public transportation system is punctual and reliable. You can travel by underground, commuter train and bus. The easiest way to book a taxi is through the taxi companie's own switchboards. In town it is often just as easy to hail a cab directly on the street. As a rule the cars are large and modern. Air: Arlanda Airport - approximately 40 km. north of Stockholm. Domestic and international traffic. Airport shuttle buses and taxis to and from city centre. The shuttle buses makes several stops on the way into town. Taxi usally offer a fixed rate to and from Arlanda. Ask for a price first!
Bromma airport: Domestic traffic. Train: Central Station. Transfer to communter trains, buses, underground and airport shuttle buses. By sea: Stockholm has several harbours from with ferries and overnight cruises depart for Finland, Russia and the Baltic countries.
